Subculture Stomp

Well, here it is in a nutshell I suppose...

The tentative dates right now are July 16,17 and 18 2010 for the first annual "Subculture Stomp" .

It will be held in San Antonio, Texas at the Warehouse. We chose San Antonio because it is in essence central to our locations and Sly is there and it was easy enough for him to book this place. It is a really nice place from what I can tell and can hold approx. 1200 people.

All of us will be there, yes even Mental Mickey all the way from Scotland. This idea was his to begin with and we've been discussing this back and forth for the better part of a month now.

So what we need from all you nice folks is suggestions, on whatever. Bands, events...whatever it may be. We want everyone to feel as much of a part of this as we are. Maybe at one point we'll have a list of bands that everyone can vote on.

Again, this is all in the begining stages so bear with us and let's hear what you have to say.

While no bands are actually booked yet (duh, it's a year out) we have a good idea of who we'd like to see there. Pretty much the only requirement is they have had to have been played on one of the shows. We will try to focus more on the bands that help us and support us as well.

Oh yeah, Mr. Mental Mickey may be dragging in a few bands from over his side of the pond which would make this extra special.

Also, it's a tough task, but we are trying to make it a little different than your average event. How, we've no clue yet. Obviously the whole car show / burly-q thing is always an option. In fact Heavy Rebel had a stellar idea with their "Wiggle Room" which was all burly-q dancers only (go Mike!). But we'd like to try something different if we can come up with that different idea.

We are trying to find an appropriate hotel/motel that would offer us discounts for booking and such.
